What does your crystal ball say..?

crystal_ballI’ve resisted. I’ve tried everything to curb my urge to talk predictions. Who are we kidding though? How can we avoid it? We all know it’s out there. Everyone’s already talking about who they think will win the league. It’s inevitable. Wouldn’t it be nice to know if we are fan prophets? Come on. You know you want to.

Here’s how I think the Premier League will finish this season. What does your crystal ball say? What do you see in the footballing future? Come May, we will compare our tables and a fan will rise as the British Soccer Diva Premier League Champion.

  1. Yes I am shocked! Scrolled down right to the bottom looking for Tottenham only to scroll back up and find them in 4th place! Of course, that is exactly the end of the table they should be – I was just very surprised to find them there in a Gunner’s opinion …. pleasantly surprised!

  2. The Spurs have a strong squad this season. They look good. I think they can oust Liverpool from the top four. That is unless Liverpool go and buy Iniesta in the next few days!!!
Now enough compliments for the blue side of North London…

  3. Nice little table you have there. Think your getting way ahead of yourself with Arsenal top of the table, but hey we shall see. Now here is what i think the table will look like.

    1. Chelsea
    2. Manchester United
    3. Arsenal
    4. Tottenham
    5. Liverpool
    6. Fulham
    7. West Ham
    8. Manchester City
    9. Aston Villa
    10. Everton
    11. Wigan
    12. Sunderland
    13. Blackburn
    14. Stoke
    15. Bolton
    16. Wolves
    17. Birmingham
    18. Portsmouth
    19. Hull
    20. Burnley

Who knows Tottenham might even beat Arsenal for 3rd. (now im getting ahead of myself)

  4. I like that table. We’ve both got Portsmouth going down. I think they could have a Newcastle type season if they are not careful. They should have hired Sven!

You are being very generous to Fulham aren’t you? Was them finishing 7th inspired by the signing of Damien Duff??!!!

Arsenal have got a real shot this season. They have a different look in their eyes! ‘Arry is building a good squad from the back to the front. Quality options for him now. Spurs could ruin the party!! But can you be consistent???

Chelsea look really strong. They destroyed Sunderland yesterday. You must have been happy to see Bent get his 2nd goal for them already no??!!

Manchester City finishing 8th might be a really good call. Like I said yesterday, not sure how they will cope if the shit starts to hit the fan…

  5. Fulham surprised me last season. Who cares about Duff. I think they will do well. Portsmouth are totally going down.
‘Arry will totally try and spoil the Arsene Wenger party. 31st October will be the derby to watch.
I always knew Bent can score goals but just wasnt with it at spurs. Like ‘Arry said he should have used his wife as a striker.

  6. Lots of great derby matches to look forward to this year….there’s definitely a bite to these ones…

    Arsenal v Spurs
    Man Utd v Man City
Burnley v Blackburn (oohhh an oldie but a goodie)
Birmingham v Villa (and add Wolves into that mix)

  7. Now who would have predicted the score line last night BURNLEY 1 MANU 0…wow! This season has already has been blown out of the water and we havent had a full week.

COME ON SPURS what a great performance. Spurs for the title? possibility…..

I think its safe to say….it’s going to be an interesting season.

  8. I think we are all getting way ahead of ourselves a s we tend to do after a couple good results. Arsenal look great opening day and think they are dark horses for the title as they keep mentioning the other three sides, but chelsea look strong.

as for The Spurs making the top four i dont think we will, i think the top four will stay the same. we do look more organised and it showed in agreat away performance against hull, there was alot of hunger shown from all over the team. in previous years after conceding we would have lost or drawn that game, but there is more about this spurs side now.

i agree with portsmouth going down in their current situation, if they hold on to their players and sign a few they might be ok, but that isnt looking likely with the transfer window closing in a week.

  9. Jonesy…are you in or out? Make your league table prediction if you want to “be champion” at Jose says!! We know it’s way early. We know it’s all going to go pear-shaped at some point, but at the beginning of every season, it’s fun to tinker and put it out there. You know you want to…

  10. As I look through posts over the season. I come across our prediction of the table standings. Could I be more wrong?

Well as the top four stand now I have a chance but something tells me that utd will steal top spot with Arsenal 2nd and Chelsea 3rd. How wierd and unpredictable has this season turned out to be and not over yet. I thought it was Chelseas to lose I could not be more wrong. Who knows Arsenal might even snatch it. But the way Rooney is playing I think a bet on Utd winning the title is in order. Spurs will probably not finish 4th with games like Chelsea Utd and Arsenal to come, it will be very difficult with Villa and Man City hot in persute. Spurs blew it with the home loses at wolves and Stoke. We could have been challenging for the title. Well there is always the FA Cup. 4th spot will go to Villa I think. City will not do so well and will yet again spend alot of money in the summer trying to get the perfect team.

I think my bottom table prdictions are going to be spot on. I hope. Portsmouth are definatley going down. Poor Portsmouth. However they are on there way to wembley. When your in hell…keep going.

Cant I make another table prediction Soccer diva? lol

  11. You can make all the predictions you like! Look out for a new article to get us shouting about how the race will actually finish!

It’s anybody’s game. Arsenal have the easiest run, but at this stage of the season, playing a team fighting for survival is just as hard as playing a team fighting for the title. Chelsea thought they had won it at Christmas. I love how they were brought down to earth!

Rooney is player of the year and european footballer of the year for me thus far. But he has to win it all to get the crown from Messi or Ronaldo!
