Tis’ the season to laud the best of the best. The football universe is filled with incredible talent. And we love to bestow awards on those who play sexy football. Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta and Rooney are world-class players. They are part of the reason we love to watch the beautiful game.
On the other side of the coin, there are some players who have prominent roles in elite teams and they often leave you scratching your head as to why. And let’s face it. Every team has them. Even the team you love and adore.
We present our Overrated FC team of the season. Now remember…the keyword here is overrated. Nobody is saying they are rubbish! But they certainly won’t be winning the Ballon d’Or. Do you agree with our choices?

I probably would have had Gomes ahead of Hart, as he is making a mistake too often now.
If you have Lennon in there, then Walcott should be right next to him.
Sometimes you wonder how these players make it that high in club level and then shockingly are international players too.
Walcott has made progress this year. Watching the Henry videos has helped him with his finishing 🙂
Plus he has done better crossing the ball. Lennon on the other hand has just digressed in my opinion this season. He has all the pace and talent, but he just cannot cross a good ball on a consistent basis. You would agree England missed Walcott at the World Cup, but not Lennon.
Who rated Gomes in the first place?! I never liked him, he’s crazy not what you want as a goalkeeper. I say Spurs buy Shay Given. He really should not be sitting on the bench at City.
I completely agree that Walcott should be in this list. SD you say Lennon can’t cross a ball? Can Walcott?! yeah he has a few good games but that’s it. Walcott needs to stop worrying about getting a haircut every week and worry about keeping the ball in front of him and not tangled in his legs OVERRATED.
Sitting here started to watch the three games today… really excited to see what happens and how it ends. Glad its over I don’t think my heart could have taken much more of this season…really is the best league in the world! That’s one thing that is not OVERRATED!
