fernandoIt’s that time of year where we harp on about the greatness of players, teams and managers. Us fans like to have our say in who wins what.

First-up is a fan favourite – Goal of the Season. With so many great games and performances, it really was difficult to pick the best goal. There were great individual goals and also incredible team goals scored in the Premier League this term. But who ranked in the top 3? Do you agree with the choices? Have your say…

1. {Fernando Torres} vs Blackburn. A great ball from Jamie Carragher and then the beautification of football personified by the sheer brilliance of Torres. Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypmpc1dUls4&feature=related.

2. {David Bentley} vs Arsenal. Who knows if Bentley will even be at Tottenham next season. He will always leave Spurs fans with one of their greatest memories against Arsenal. Rough quality, but you can still see this amazing goal very clearly.       http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1941068/david_bentley_goal_for_tottenham_vs_arsenal_on_29_10_08/

3. {Paul Konchesky} vs West Ham. Against his former club, Konchesky takes the ball himself and blasts the back of the net with a stunning shot. Take a peek and remind yourselves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_IOJhE0fgI

Honorable mentions also go to Andrei Arshavin’s goal against Blackburn, Glen Johnson’s goal against Hull City and Carlton Cole’s goal against Wigan.

All amazing goals and amazing Games. I totally agree with the choices.
I hate to say it but I got to mention Macheda’s goal against Aston Villa.. Momments to go and he scores a stunner and sends Man U to the top of the table…We were all wishing for a draw to make the title race intresting but that 17 year old had to spoil the fun…Was it a fluke? Doesn’t matter still a great Goal. “Take a Bow Son”….We all loved the Andy Gray lyric.

Don’t forget Deco’s side-bicycle kick against Bolton. I know he’s been non-existent to the club, but what an amazing goal that was!

Yid Chick and Chelsea Girl…welcome to BSD. You both bring up great goals. The Macheda goal was probably the most important goal of the season. I love Andy Gray by the way! I love that he still uses Take A Bow Son.

Deco we just forgot about because he ended playing so badly for Chelsea. I was one of the first to sing his praises but what happened to the wee man?

By the way…although it didn’t feature as a goal in the Premier League, what about Eduardo’s goal in the F.A. Cup against Burnely? That same left foot was mangled and he came back to score an exquisite goal with it….don’t you guys think that was a good memory of the season?

I loved that goal by Eduardo, outside of the boot volley absolute pure class. You can’t teach that you either got it or you don’t and he’s got it.

The summer transfer window is like waiting for Christmas. You have an entire list of things you want, you hope you get them all and in the end, even if just a few things on your list make it under the tree, you're fine with that!

I fancy Arsenal to win the Community Shield against Chelsea in a few weeks. #factsonly
